Bicentennial Parade Application Deadline Approaching

     BINGHAMTON, NY - The Broome County Bicentennial Committee is encouraging groups that want to participate in the Bicentennial Parade on June 3rd to turn in their applications as soon as possible. The deadline for applications is April 20th. If you have an application but have not turned it in, please mail it as soon as possible to the Broome County Executive’s Office, 44 Hawley Street, Binghamton, NY, 13901. Dozens of organizations from across Broome County have already turned in their applications. The Committee hopes this will be one of the largest parades in Broome County history. Marching bands, floats, antique vehicles, fire trucks, Celtic pipe and drum bands are already lining up to participate. The parade is scheduled to begin at 11am on June 3rd. The parade route will begin near the corner of Main and Oak and continue through downtown Binghamton, ending at Court and Carroll Streets.
